Ever wondered why the sea looks blue?
The white light that we see is actually not white. It is a mixture of colours called VIBGYOR - Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red.
When white light falls on water, all the other colours present in white light are taken in by water except for the blue light. So the water appears blue.
